First, for assurance, Dr. Mohammed El-Sayed Abdulhady motivated his patient with the Medit Smile Design App.

Bio Dynamic Digital Occlusion

By Mohamed Abd El Monem

{% video_player “embed_player” overrideable=False, type=’hsvideo2′, hide_playlist=True, viral_sharing=False, embed_button=False, autoplay=False, hidden_controls=False, loop=False, muted=False, full_width=False, width=’936′, height=’644′, player_id=’103782591834′, style=” %}

This was a challenging case of an increased overbite, generalized wear, and erosive condition with limited prosthetic space and group function occlusion.

Both the maximum intercuspation position (MIP) and the centric relation (CR) with a leaf gauge were scanned using the Medit “Multi Occlusion” function.

Dr. Mohamed Abd El Monem used Medit’s Mandibular Movement function to record the patient’s central occlusion and the right lateral/left lateral/protrusive movement of the mandible exported as a visualization object.

He then adjusted dynamic canine-protected occlusion according to the patient’s individualized envelope of motion by converting the visualization objects to antagonists using the “Static Occlusion” slider in the “Free-Forming” tool.

No articulators were used.

The results were delivered with reduced chairside occlusal adjustment and equilibration time.

DIY Medit Desktop Cart - The Medit Times - Medit

Dr. Omar Clor says this took quite a bit of time designing then making.

Everything was DIY, and he made use of his experience from all of his hobbies to put it together: CAD, PC building, aluminum extrusion framework, woodworking, etc.

He bought everything from either Home Depot, Costco, or Amazon.
