使用Medit T500 的多芯片扫描功能提高效率

width="1024"Increasing productivity and efficiency are important advantages that dental lab scanners should deliver to users. Dr Ha Young Kim shared with us, how using Medit’s T500 model scanner has benefited his work as a prosthodontist. Here is what he had to say:

“The most basic and important task in prosthodontics is to acquire accurate dental impressions after tooth removal. This is to ensure that the clinic delivers accurate information of the patient’s oral environment to the laboratory which will be producing the prosthetics. Any problems with the impressions could lead to inaccuracies in the model. This will inevitably cause issues in resulting prosthetics made by the laboratory.

最常用的修复材料是聚乙烯硅氧烷硅胶。硅胶印模根据其粘度进行分类,牙医使用这种材料制作各种用途的印模。

传统牙模的问题在于需要同时为多颗牙齿取模。如果在取任何一颗牙齿(或多颗牙齿)的印模时出现问题,牙医就需要不断重做,直到印模完美为止。

这将增加患者的不适感,使牙医和患者都感到沮丧。此外,考虑到印模材料凝固所需的时间以及咨询和治疗时间,就诊时间也会大大增加。

不过,牙科修复的数字化有助于减轻这种不适。

只要正确扫描了假肢所需的部件,就可以通过将以前的模型与新印模叠加的方法创建新的虚拟模型。

特别是,当种植体(取印模)和天然牙一起扫描时,所得到的天然牙印模效果并不好。在这种情况下,牙医可以只对天然牙齿进行额外扫描,然后合并数据,以避免给患者带来更多不适。

The accuracy of digital technology is within the clinically acceptable range, so there is no compromise necessary  in comparison with traditional impressions. In addition, digital dentistry seems to have alleviated much of the discomfort faced by both the dentist and patient when making traditional impressions. To maximize the advantages of digital dentistry, dentists should also make the effort to learn about the various useful features of digital equipment in order to better communicate with lab partners.”
